天上星河转，人间帘幕垂。

这首词是李清照抒发国破家亡、悲怆沉哀之情的诗词。引用的这两句以对句作景的方式，“天上”“人间”对举，“星河转”述“天上”，“帘幕垂”说“人间”，字面上平静无波，但内里则暗流涌动，为后面悲泪、思旧情怀的倾诉，做好了看似平淡但蓄势道来的铺衬。

The Whirling Galaxy in the Sky-to the Tune of Nan Ge Zi

Li Qingzhao wrote this poem to express her sorrow over the country’s tragic reality that affected every family at her time. The quoted two sentences use parallel phrases to describe the scene, “Heaven and Earth” are opposite to each other; “the whirling galaxy” describes the “heaven” scene while “the falling curtain” narrates the story of “human world”. Although it is literally calm and tranquil, it has made a seemingly dull but well-earned lining for the subsequent confession of sorrow, tears and nostalgia.
